Children’s Quran Competition
Assalaam Foundation was proud to host yet another Quran Competition for Children held at Assalaam Masjid on the 3rd of May 2013, during Japans Golden Week Holidays. This competition was sponsored by Brother Anas with the objective to encourage the youth to memorize the Quran and its rules of recitation - as well as to serve the Quran in what it commands. Each child was asked to memorize and recite a given Surah to observe their depth of knowledge in the rules and art of reciting the Holy Quran with the rhythm and voice in front of a panel of respected judges. The panel consisted of judges: Brother Anas, the Resident Imam from Tokyo Cammi Masjid and the Resident Imam from Assalaam Masjid. We would like to thank all the parents who enrolled their children and would like to congratulate all participants for their tireless efforts.
